Molesworth to Kumara
Driving from Molesworth to Kumara through the rugged Lewis Pass, passing through Greymouth and Hokitika staying a night with another lifelong friend. Visiting the cemetery in Kumara is always a special time with some beautiful friends resting there in tranquillity surrounded by the beautiful West Coast bush and mountains.
I couldn’t believe how much this small West Coast town had lifted with many new developments.
Returning to the Coast always fills me with huge emotion. My life once here was filled with some mountainous challenges but set me up with strength, resilience and determination only West Coasters know how to possess. The sight and smell of the mountains and bush even for the non-religious fill you from your boots to your soul.
